History-Dermal Fillers have been used cosmetically for about thirteen years to plump out skin wrinkles by adding volume, typically a natural product like collagen. There are various trade names but we typically use Softline for treatments for our customers. Methodology-A Dermal Fillers treatment is the term used to describe the process of injecting the wrinkled area with a gel (stabilised hyaluronic acid). This is a based on a naturally occuring compound found in the body, and by introducing it in the wrinkled area, it has the effect of filling the area out. Treatments-The procedure of injecting the dermal filler with a very fine needle just under the skin in the area of the wrinkles takes about thirty minutes. There is very slight discomfort during injection, and there is a slim chance of localised redness and soreness; this typically resolves itself after a few days. However the results are instantaneous and long lasting, typically maintaining the 'new you' for between six and nine months.
